33rd National Safety Day Celebration at IFFCO Phulpur

33 rd National Safety Day was celebrated on 4 th March 2004 at IFFCO Phulpr unit with great success and enthusiasm. It was attended by large gathering of employees, contractors, union executives and Association executives.In the morning ,Safety flag was hoisted by Shri M. Rajashekharaiah , Jt.General Manager (P&A) followed by Safety pledge read by Shri Sharad Agnihotri , Operator Urea-I . Shri Rajashekharaiah emphasized that ''accidents do not happen, they are caused'' and Safety is everybody's business.He congratulated all the employees for working 4 million man hours without any lost time injury .He appealed all to cooperate in achieving the ''Zero accident year'' through better safety practices in plant by proper planning and taking safety measures on the job. The Shri R..N.Bhargava , Joint General Manager ( Production) welcomed the employees on the function and stressed upon to importance of safety gadgets on the job to avoid any accident. Shri U.C.Dubey Jt. G.M. (System) addressed the audience on this occasion and emphasized to follow safety norms and procedures in every sphere of life at all the time. Shri Vinod Kumar, Jt. G.M. (Maint.) emphasised to celebrate the National Safety Day with great spirit and enthusiasm and advice to use safety devices and follow safety rules. Hydrant Drill and Quiz competitions were conducted during the function which was highly appreciated by the audience. The prizes were distributed by chief guest of the function Shri Rajashekharaiah, Jt. General Manager (P&A) to the winners of Good House Keeping competitions , winners of Safety competitions like Safety Posters, Safety Essay and Safety Slogans as well as winners of Drill competition. Shri V. K.Tripathi , Sr Manager (F&S) read the safety report highlighting the activities of the F&S section, in which he inform that Training programs are regularly being organised to improve the safety procedures. Shri G.P.Giri , Chief Manager (F&S) gave the vote of thanks and stressed upon to follow the work instruction on the job.
